About me

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer 50-minute sessions at a rate of £40, held in a private, comfortable space in Herne Bay.
If you’re thinking about beginning therapy, I offer a free, 20-minute initial consultation. This gives us a chance to meet, talk about what’s bringing you to counselling, and for you to ask any questions you may have about the process. If we feel we’re a good fit, we’ll arrange a regular weekly time for your sessions.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from several therapeutic models, including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and Person-Centred therapy. While I use a range of tools, the heart of my work is person-centred—this means I’ll always respect your unique experience and follow your lead in how we work together. I believe in meeting each client as they are and shaping the process in a way that suits your individual needs.
I have a particular interest in working with trauma, and I continue to deepen my understanding in this area through ongoing training and reflective practice.
I have had experience working as a volunteer in the public sector.
The following includes my CPD (continual professional developmental) training
-Transactional Analyses 101 Introductory Course
-Trauma Informed Level 6 Diploma (ongoing)
-Somatic Inquiry for Trauma Healing: Integrating Body-Based Interventions In Therapy
Whether you’re coming with a specific issue or simply feel ready to explore your thoughts and feelings more deeply, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to do that in your own time. I have experience of working with a diverse variety of clients.
As a member of the BACP, I work within their ethical framework, which means you can expect our work together to be professional, confidential, and rooted in clear boundaries.
I believe we all have the capacity for healing and growth. Sometimes that process begins with learning how to relate more gently to ourselves—to move away from inner criticism and towards greater compassion. Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken, but about reconnecting with who you really are. Together, we can explore what might be holding you back and work towards a life where you feel more connected, more aligned, and more fully yourself.
